When the elevator cage descends, L-DRIVE utilizes this potential energy, and the linear motor becomes a generator and converts the potential energy into electric power. Then, this power is returned to the power system of the building by the regenerative converter unit provided in L-DRIVE. In this way, each linear motor elevator has a mechanism to \u201ctemporarily borrow and return\u201d electricity.
